It is not a matter of censorship, the image the words paint in one's mind (my mind) are disturbing and unpleasant and why do people need to experience a 'bum trip, man'.
Although some people, maybe Neil, would have thought the Savage Lover Poem humorous, "Savage" Lover, get it, "SAVAGE" lover.
..just too gross for me..
